Does anyone know what happened to Debbie Oscarson and Linda Lowrey from Holmes School? I just read that they died and was very saddened by that.
Also, where is Jessica Walsh, Wendy Bridges & Dave Mackey? Anyone know????

CARLETON HOTEL - I was wondering how many people are staying at the hotel for our reunion? I'm trying to decide if people are 'continuing the party' after the reunion party ends.....or just going to sleep! My daughter lives downtown so I could just stay there....or stay at the Carleton for $150! I'd love responses!

Sally Wilkinson Gilbert and I are staying at the Carlton, as are several other people. ( Ask for a room in the motel part - less $). I had the same thought as you and Alan - that we might want to continue the party if we're not too old to stay up that late!

Kristy...Are you still in touch with Barb Reynolds? She and I emailed a few years back but then I never heard from her again. I noticed that she never responded. It seems she would come??

Hey all How many were at the 20? I remember it being big (still have the photos too - too bad you cannot really recognize anyone). Look forward to visiting with many of you. Hard to believe it has been 40 already, I clearly remember thinking about my parents 40th and how "old" it sounded, now it is just another year, and we are blessed to keep them.

Yeah, Fred and I were at the 20th, along with Varda Cheskis, Johan Walsh, Carol Zerfoss and a bunch from Holmes! I remember that picture (and have a copy as well). By the time the guy took the picture, we were all so tiny you can't make anyone out! LOL!
Funny that you should bring up your parent's 40th reunion! Fred and I went to my Mom's (and my Aunt Flo, and Aunt Jean's) 50th from OPRFHS - Class of '38 and I thought OMG! OLD!!!! My sister is going to her 50th from OPRFHS in the next couple of weeks! All of a sudden.....it doesn't seem THAT old!
I didn't get a chance to catch up with you at the reunion! Do you even remember me?

OMG! This reunion was AWESOME! I went to the 10 & 20....did we have a 30? Does anyone remember if I was there, if we did? Fred (class of 67) and I are getting our reunions all mixed up - he says we went to the MarLac House for HIS 25th, so we are "debating" whether it was HIS 25 or MY 30th!
I think this one was the best because all labels and expectations fell away for the evening. We were just a bunch of classmates connecting, grateful to BE HERE, and having a good time! I think we look GREAT!
We connected to many of you and hope to continue the re-connection! Here's to us getting together in 10 for our 50th!!!! OUCH!!!!! (DANG....slap my mouth shut!!!!)

I had SOO much fun at our reunion! It was fun to hang out with my HOLMES SCHOOL friends! Someone once told me that if you like someone in 1st grade...you'll probably always like them! TRUE!!

I'm anxiously awaiting the directory with everyone's email addresses....I hope more of us will stay connected. Facebook has been GREAT to reconnect, too!

If anyone is passing through Atlanta...my guest suite is available in my home! Who is IN for an 'age 60 CRUISE??'....some of us were thinking this would be fun in a few years!!

Hey Varda, did anyone go out after the reunion?

I have a strange question for any Holmes kids; when we were in 8th grade a group of girls ditched a couple of classes, which was really stupid cuz' there was nowhere to go and I think they spent the time in the bathroom! Anyway, they were put on probation for graduation - had go to the principal's office - were scared to death, but Dr. Grell relented and they got to graduate with the class.
Here is my question......who were the girls that ditched? Just a little 1965 trivia.......

Pam...A bunch of us were talking about a cruise...maybe to the Mediterranean...who knows....but how fun would that be? Brenda Mitchell was spearheading it! I'm sure it would be open to anyone and everyone...

As far as CUTTING...I was a 'good girl' in 8th grade. Boy did things change, huh? :) So...I have no idea who cut. I came late ONCE to OPRFHS and forged a note from my mom and I don't think I slept for days....and the funny thing is that she would have totally written the note for me but she was sleeping and I didn't want to wake her up! Oh...the memories!

Regarding your question on who ditched art class in 8^th grade…..I did but am not sure who else did; I’m guessing Wendy Bridges and Carol Zerfoss. I don’t remember being put on probation, but I do remember that I thought it was nuts to skip class since it would be sooooo obvious that we were not there!!!! It didn’t take long for them to find us!

I had a great time @ the reunion and a fantastic time in Oak Park visiting relatives. Reunion was organized so well! I love the fact that you can walk so many places in OP,...it was hard to get use to no sidewalks, but the warmer climate is a great trade off... I didn't know there were so many 'bed and breakfasts' in O.P.-(such knowledge!) I would love to fantasize/imagine a 60th celebration on a cruise to the Mediterrainean!!! Thanks for all the preparation for the 40th...LW
